Most of the research done at HighTech are devoted to its line of products and software customization work. HighTech offers software customization and specialized capsule set and solutions that can be used with SYMBOLS in a wide range of fields. Most of these are in classified areas for defense sectors. Apart from that, leading automobile industries like TATA Motors Ltd. (formerly TELCO), Mahindra & Mahindra, BEML etc. and manufacturing industries like TATA Bearings, TISCO, Flender & Macknell, Steuerung Anlage etc. are regular recipients of various engineering solutions for improving their line of products. HighTech also is a pioneer in condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and reliability engineering. It has the state of the art equipment backed by highly qualified and professional manpower.

Recent research works being carried on to develop methodology for modeling of thermo-fluid systems in bond graph domain. The modeling philosophy is being extended to inversion of equations to arrive at constraint equations called residuals that can be used to diagnose, monitor and isolate plant item faults on real time processes. All these are currently being developed using software and a new modeling IDE called FDIPad has been introduced specifically for this purpose. The software will be tested at various power generation plants under the European Union project titled CHEM.
